Recently, the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP), a leading authority in vehicle safety assessment, released the outcomes of its Commercial Van Ratings. Furthermore, the eDeliver 5 has distinguished itself by receiving the highest accolade of "Platinum" for the year 2024, underscoring its position at the pinnacle of safety and performance in the commercial vehicle sector.

About Euro NCAP Commercial Van Safety Rating, with the goal of providing up-to-date information for fleet managers and a safer environment for van drivers, since 2021 Euro NCAP has provided Commercial Van Safety ratings. These stand-alone ratings issued for light commercial vans, focus on the availability and performance of advanced driver assist systems (ADAS). Light commercial vans are vehicles designed to carry goods or specialized equipment and which weigh no more than 3.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass. Their economic life span and total kilometers travelled usually exceed those of average passenger cars.

SAIC MAXUS has consistently prioritized automotive safety and actively participated in globally recognized safety tests and ratings. The MIFA7 was recently awarded a five-star Euro NCAP certification, solidifying its position as one of the safest MPVs alongside the electric Large-size MPV- MIFA9. Additionally, MAXUS Light commercial vans, eDeliver 5, achieved Euro NCAP’s Commercial Van Platinum rating, exceeding the requirements of the EU General Safety Regulation (GSR2) that took effect on July 1st, 2024. The MAXUS eDeliver 5 has achieved an impressive safety assistance performance score of 82%. In the area of AEB vehicle-to-vehicle performance, it has attained a remarkable score rate of 92%, positioning it as the leader in its class. Furthermore, its recognition and response capabilities for pedestrians and bicycles have garnered high praise, with scores reaching 73% and 93% respectively.

The eDeliver 7 boasts an array of L2+ advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), encompassing adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane change assistance, and lane keeping. ;  Concurrently, the eDeliver 9 is standardly equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including a body stability system, brake assistance, and hill-start aid.   Both models have integrated proactive safety measures, achieving commendable safety assistance scores of 77% and 74%, respectively, placing them firmly in the vanguard of their category.

Notably, the two models excelled in pedestrian recognition and response, with 74% and 76% scores, securing the second and first positions within the "gold" rating tier.   The eDeliver 7 particularly stood out with its lane-keeping assistance, which garnered an impressive 88% score, the highest within its group.   The eDeliver 9 further distinguished itself by scoring a perfect 100% in bicycle recognition and response, becoming the sole model to achieve a full score in this aspect.
